State officials and the University of Georgia are offering webinars Monday and Tuesday for thousands of small business owners trying to understand how to get federal stimulus help and loans during the coronavirus pandemic.
People can go online or call-in to take part.
The programs are being offered by the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center along with the Georgia’s Department of Community Affairs and Department of Economic Development.
Georgia has about 900,000 small businesses, employing about 1.9 million people, according to the Small Business Administration.
Many small business owners interviewed by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution have said they are anxious to see what funding is available and stressed that they would need the money quickly to stay afloat.
Others are pushing to reinvent their businesses quickly to make up for evaporating sales.
The different state webinars are scheduled for different regions of Georgia. More information about what’s available, as well as dates, times and details on webinars are available at: https://www.georgiasbdc.org/georgia-small-business-recovery/
