Experienced bus drivers and bus mechanics looking to work in Atlanta may get their opportunity at MARTA’s job fair this weekend.
Applicants are urged to ride the train to Lindbergh Station across the street from the headquarters.
Potential drivers must be at least 21 years old, bring a resume with a valid email address and phone number, and have a valid CDL driver’s license or permit with passenger endorsement. Applicants must also bring a high school diploma, GED or higher degree.
Applicants should be prepared for on-site interviews.
The job fair comes days after MARTA announced it hired Collie Greenwood as its chief of bus operations. Greenwood, the former chief service officer with the Toronto Transit Commission, will oversee daily bus operations and maintenance for MARTA’S fleet of 532 buses and paratransit vans.
Greenwood started her position July 3.
The transit agency is hosting the fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at its headquarters on 2424 Piedmont Road in northeast Atlanta.
Bus drivers can make between $16.38 and $23.17 per hour; bus mechanics can make between $22.08 and $25.06 per hour.
