  • Get free food in honor of Chick-fil-A’s 30th anniversary in DeKalb

By J.D. Capelouto

The Chick-fil-A in Tucker is celebrating its 30th anniversary this weekend with games, prizes and other tasty giveaways.

Located at 4340 Hugh Howell Road, the fast food joint opened on Oct. 5, 1989.

This Saturday, Oct. 12, the Chick-fil-A cows will be on hand from noon to 4 p.m. “to thank the community for their years of patronage and support,” the restaurant said in a statement.

Guests can get free cake and enjoy an ice cream condiment station. Attendees can also spin a prize wheel for a chance at more Chick-fil-A freebies.

Also, any proceeds from the sale of chocolate chunk cookies on Saturday will be donated to the food pantry at the NETWorks Cooperative Ministry, a church group located in the Tucker area.

“Our Chick-fil-A team is grateful for the support that our community has given us over the years,” Brad Spratte, the franchise operator of the Tucker location, said in a statement. “We look forward to celebrating with the guests who have been with us from the start, as well as those we will serve for years to come.”
