“One Vision, Many Voices” is the theme of this year’s fundraising gala for Men Stopping Violence, a DeKalb County-based nonprofit that uses training, outreach programs and advocacy in hopes of ending male violence against women and children.
During the fundraiser, C. David Moody, Jr., owner of C. D. Moody Construction Company in Lithonia, will be presented with the True Ally Award. Moody is also author of “Fighting Through the Fear: My Journey of Healing from Childhood Sexual Abuse.”
Cherie Wilson, director of senior product sales specialists at Bank of America, will receive the Kathleen Carlin Justice Seekers Award. She is credited with helping integrate domestic violence prevention into Bank of America’s employee assistance program.
The fundraiser will be held on Sept. 19 at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. Richelle Carey will serve as the emcee.
