Two DeKalb County cities are joining forces to help residents safely dispose of waste that is too harmful to go with the rest of the trash.

Dunwoody and Chamblee are holding a free “hazardous waste recycling event” on Saturday, Aug. 24 at Plaza Fiesta in Chamblee, officials announced Wednesday.

Residents of either city can visit from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to drop off waste including aerosols, poisons, fluorescent or incandescent bulbs and paints.

Attendees are required to register online ahead of time. Dunwoody residents can register here, and Chamblee residents can visit this site.
